PER & DAVID
It all got started with a random encounter in 1992. Considering how much time the two music lovers, Per Magnusson and David Kreuger, spent in record stores, though, maybe the meeting wasn't so random after all. Per and David happened to find themselves in the same Stockholm music store at the same time, struck up a conversation, and immediately hit it off.
Soon afterwards, they began writing music together. One day they got the chance to play one of their songs for Denniz PoP, whom David knew from his days on Stockholm's DJ circuit. Denniz had recently joined up with Tom Talomaa to create the now-legendary recording studio and music production company, Cheiron. Denniz liked what he heard and invited Per and David aboard as writers/producers.
From 1993 through 1997, Per and David's projects met success across the globe, the tandem produced the first two albums for the Swedish female artist, Dede. Both records went gold in Japan.
Another production, Dreamworld's single, Movin' Up, hit gold in Australia. They produced songs on E-Type's second and third albums: You Will Always (Be a Part Of Me), Princess of Egypt, and I Will Always Be Around. Also the duo produced Walk Away for Solid Harmonie and wrote and produced the single Sex U Up (The Way You Like It) for Lyte Funkie Ones (L.F.O.).
In recent times Per & David's career has taken a monumental leap, and they are now widely regarded as among the finest producer / writer teams in the World.
Per & David wrote and produced (You Drive Me) Crazy for Britney Spears, which was a top then hit on both sides of the Atlantic. This led to period of writing / production for Britney, included the songs Sometimes, Deep In My Heart and Walk On By. They also produced three songs for the Backstreet Boys: It's True, Missing You, and The Answer Of Our Life.
Continued UK and US success has come in the form of IL Divo, for whom they write and produce. They have worked on eight Il Divo productions across the first two No.1 albums including the duet with Celine Dion I Believe In You (Je Crois En Trois) from the second album, and Nella Fantasia from Il Divo's debut.
Other UK No.1s penned and produced by Per & David include Will Young'sEvergreen, Westlife's Fool Again, and others including If I Let You Go and My Love.
X-Factor Shayne Ward has three Per & David productions on his debut album The No.1 single That's My Goal, Somebody To Love and I Cry.
They have been writing for Josh Groban, have co-written with Sophie Ellis-Bextor and have just produced two songs for Clay Aiken (Mysterious andSorry), for Clive Davis.
