John Fortis has a reputation as one of the best writer/producers in the industry for discovering and developing some of the hottest emerging artists in the UK.
Since the success of double platinum selling album Up All Night by Razorlight, which John co-wrote the first single, Rock N Roll Lies; his career has gone from strength to strength.
Cuts on Ellie Goulding’s debut album, including the single Guns & Horses, as well as his co-written and produced Explosions on her sophomore follow up Halcyon has consistently proven John to be a creative force known for bringing out the best in everyone he works with.
Based out of his London studio John has worked with a diverse range of artists having written with and/or produced the likes of Paolo Nutini, The Noisettes, Laura Marling, The Prodigy, Lana Del Rey, Olly Murs, Lucy Rose, Charlotte OC, Carl Barat, Pixie Lott, Kimberly Anne, Hudson Taylor, Art Brut, Aurora, Amy Studt, Ben's Brother, Charlie Simpson, Dan Croll, Petite Meller, Michael Kiwanuka, Andreya Triana, Eugene McGuiness, Kyan, Aquilo and many more.
When John teamed up with Ellie Goulding again he produced her #3 hit single How Long Will I Love You, which features on Ellie's sophomore album repack Halcyon Days. It was also the official BBC Children In Need single. Recently he's been working with new acts such as Lewis Capaldi (Virgin), Yellowdays (Columbia), Rachel Chinouriri, Sam Calver (Island), Frida Amundsen (Warner), David Benjamin and Ellie Moon.
